What it is
A dieline is the flat template showing cut and fold lines for packaging (cartons, sleeves, and similar). Artwork is laid out on the dieline so print and structure align.
Why factories ask for it
Without a dieline, print placement and structural fit are guesses. If you only have a 3D mockup, ask whether structural design is in scope before print quotes.
