UKCA marking

What UKCA marking is for goods placed on the market in Great Britain, how it relates to UK product regulations, and what to discuss with manufacturers.

What it is

UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is the UK regime’s conformity mark for many products where regulations require it. Requirements depend on the product category and the applicable UK rules—not every product needs UKCA.

Rules and transitional arrangements can change; always verify current guidance for your product category from official UK sources and treat compliance as part of your sourcing specification.

Sourcing conversations

Manufacturers can build to a specification that supports conformity, but responsibility for placing compliant product on the market depends on your role (for example manufacturer vs importer vs distributor). Agree evidence, labelling, and documentation expectations in writing.
